Antonia Malchik’s essays and articles have appeared in Aeon, The Atlantic, Orion, The Los Angeles Times, High Country News, and many other publications. She is an independent scholar and researcher of the commons and the history of private ownership. Her first book, A Walking Life, is about the past and future of walking’s role in our shared humanity. She lives in northwest Montana.
