Fan Yang is a research assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Chicago, where she directs the Human Nature and Potentials Lab. Her research focuses on children’s and adults’ thinking about the ‘big’ questions in life, such as the factors that give rise to meaning and happiness, the values we endorse and pursue, and the kind of person we aspire to be.
