Relaunch announcement
Welcome to the new Psyche!
In 2020, Aeon Media launched Psyche – a free digital magazine that illuminates the human condition. Five years later, I’m delighted to announce that we’ve relaunched with a revitalised mission, a fresh design and exciting new content types.
Psyche is now focused on helping you to better understand your self and live well. Amid so much misinformation, hype and dubious wellness trends, we aim to be your wise and trustworthy companion as you find your path through life.
We’ve adopted new sections – Understand, Relate, Heal and Transcend – to make it easier to find the knowledge you’re seeking. An optimised design will allow us to more effectively curate our content, to explore themes, to fascinate and inspire you, and to showcase the best of our archive.
We will continue to publish bold and insightful Ideas by international psychologists, philosophers, historians and other experts, alongside authoritative and trustworthy practical Guides on living well and coping with mental health difficulties.
Into this mix, we are adding a new, beautifully written Life Stories channel featuring the voices of diverse people as well as in-depth profiles of remarkable individuals reflecting on their inner journey and what it means to live a good life.
There is a new Notes to Self channel where we share recommendations and insights based on research, books, films and more. We are also expanding our Video programme to feature not only artfully produced documentaries, but also provocative arguments and practical self-help.
Psyche remains free for all, carefully factchecked and beautifully illustrated. Please take your time to immerse yourself in our new site, and do share your feedback. I hope you will enjoy this exciting next chapter in our story.
