Jonathan Rottenberg is professor of psychology, director of clinical training, and director of the Mood and Emotion Laboratory at the University of South Florida. His books include The Depths: The Evolutionary Origins of the Depression Epidemic (Basic Books, 2014) and Depression: What Everyone Needs to Know (Oxford University Press, 2021).
