Karen Cassiday

Dr Karen Cassiday is a nationally recognised expert in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders in children, teens and adults. She is a former president of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and is a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. She has received the prestigious Anxiety and Depression Association’s Clinician of Distinction Award. She is the author of The No Worries Guide for Raising Your Anxious Child (2021) and Freedom from Health Anxiety: Understand and Overcome Obsessive Worry about Your Health or Someone Else’s and Find Peace of Mind (2022). Dr Cassiday has appeared as an expert consultant on NBC’s Today Show, Nightline, CBS and Animal Planet. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the BBC, Huffington Post, BuzzFeed and numerous other publications, podcasts and radio stations. She is the host of the Moms Without Worry radio show. She is a sought-after speaker who has appeared on the TEDx stage and is widely respected for her ability to teach, train and inspire. She is the founder of the Anxiety Treatment Center of Greater Chicago, the longest running exposure-based clinic for anxiety disorders in the Chicago region. She has five children and a not-so-bright dog whom she credits for her good humour.
