Noga Arikha is an essayist, philosopher and historian of ideas. She is currently senior expert at the Florence School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Her books include Passions and Tempers: A History of the Humours (2007), The Ceiling Outside: The Science and Experience of the Disrupted Mind (2022) and Franz Boas: In Praise of Open Minds (2025).
