Tyler W Watts is an associate professor of psychology and education in the Department of Human Development at Teachers College, Columbia University. He studies the long-term effects of educational interventions. He worked as a research assistant professor at New York University for his postdoctoral training, and he received his PhD in Education from the University of California, Irvine. Across his projects, he seeks to understand whether interventions designed to boost children’s early cognitive and behavioural skills will make long-lasting changes on developmental trajectories.
